The four-legged team

Meet the Staff

Every good operation has a support crew. Ours has four legs, boundless energy, and very strong opinions about who gets to sit in the front of the boat.

Head office

The ones who really run the place

Terry and Sherrie may hold the licenses, but these are the folks who inspect every dock, greet every neighbor, and supervise every sunset from the bow. This page is just for fun. If you spot them around the lake, they accept belly rubs as payment.

Dixie, a fluffy white Great Pyrenees, smiling on the deck of the pontoon boat
Chief of Security

Dixie

Great Pyrenees

Dixie comes from a long line of livestock guardians, and she takes the job seriously, even if the only flock around here is the geese on the lake. She patrols the yard at dusk, barks at suspicious leaves, and considers every visitor a friend once they've passed inspection. She is gentle, patient, and sheds enough each spring to build a second dog.

Favorite thing about the lake: Guarding the cooler on the pontoon

Coco, a chocolate lab mix, resting her chin on the pontoon seat as the boat cruises across Lake Wedowee
Director of Water Operations

Coco

Lab mix

Coco has never met a body of water she didn't want to jump into. True to her Labrador roots, she believes every thrown object is her personal responsibility and every snack is probably meant for her. When she's not swimming, she's riding in the back of the boat with her chin on the seat, taking in the breeze like it's her job. Technically, it is.

Favorite thing about the lake: Chin on the seat, wind in her ears

Buddy, a black and white Rat Terrier, watching the sunset over Lake Wedowee from the bow of the boat
Head of Pest Control

Buddy

Rat Terrier

Buddy may be the smallest member of the staff, but nobody has told him that. Like any good Rat Terrier, he is fast, fearless, and fully convinced that every squirrel on the lake is plotting against him. He runs at full speed until the moment he stops, then curls up in the warmest lap he can find. Those ears don't miss a thing.

Favorite thing about the lake: Sunset cruises from the bow

Want to meet the people they work for?

Terry and Sherrie are the ones who actually answer the phone. The dogs just supervise.
